Supporting emergency services

Back the volunteers who keep our communities safe.

As a local GP and CFA volunteer, I know how much our communities rely on emergency services - and how much volunteers give in return. They deserve the funding, equipment and support to do their jobs safely. They shouldn't be left carrying the cost of government budget decisions.

In Parliament, I’ll fight for:

  • Abolishing the Emergency Services Levy. End an unfair tax that places an additional burden on landowners, including regional families and farmers already doing it tough.

  • Upgrades to stations, trucks and protective equipment. Make sure CFA volunteers have safe facilities and reliable equipment to protect our communities.

  • Support for our volunteers to keep building their skills. Make it easier for volunteers to access training, maintain qualifications and develop their capabilities.
